Keynote Topics
1. THE ORGANISATIONAL BLIND SPOT
Most organisations don’t have a strategy problem. They have a thinking problem.
As complexity increases, cognitive capacity does not. This keynote explores how the environment leaders create influences attention, decision-making and the organisation’s ability to turn strategy into focused action.
2. THE CASE AGAINST BALANCE
Why organisations transform through strategic tension.
Transformation is not the product of balance, but of constructive imbalance. This keynote explores how leaders can intentionally create strategic disequilibrium to generate the energy that drives genuine organisational change.
3. THE ATTENTION ECONOMY INSIDE ORGANISATIONS
Why organisational attention is the scarcest strategic resource.
Every strategic choice is ultimately a choice about attention. This keynote explores how leaders shape the cognitive environment that determines what people notice, discuss, prioritise and ultimately deliver.
Biography
Dr Steve Kelsey is a leadership specialist, strategic improvement practitioner and creator of the Strategic Improvement Platform (SIP). For more than three decades he has worked internationally across Europe, the US and Asia, helping organisations translate strategy into focused, coordinated action. After living and working in Japan for over a decade, Steve became fascinated by how people learn, lead and improve together. That interest led him to doctoral research in phenomenological psychology, exploring the lived experience of homelessness through the philosophy and methodology of phenomenology. While seemingly far removed from strategy, the research profoundly shaped his thinking about how people make sense of the world, construct meaning and act collectively.Today, Steve’s work combines psychology, systems thinking and practical organisational experience to explore how organisations think, how attention is allocated and how better cognitive environments lead to better strategic decisions and execution.Based in Mallorca, Steve works internationally as the co-founder and MD of ZenNord, advising organisations and speaking on leadership, organisational cognition, strategic execution and the human side of organisational performance.
